Medrio requires that you have certain basic software (an Operating System and Browser) installed on your computer. We support the following platforms and encourage the use of the recommended software listed below.

*Microsoft Internet Explorer 6+ may be used only with Medrio Version 7.3. Older functionality supports IE versions 7 and 8, however newer features are not guaranteed to work on older browsers.

[1] System administrators and those configuring studies in Medrio must use Internet Explorer or Safari. All other functions besides Study Configuration are available to Firefox users on Windows or Mac OS X.
[2] Microsoft Office is not required to use Medrio, but some features require Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) installed if you want to use them.
A list of the features and their required programs follows:
Data Upload - allows you to collect data in an Excel file (.xls) on your computer and upload the data to the website later. Microsoft Excel is required to collect data in this manner. Data can be collected directly on the website without Excel.
Download Forms - produces your forms in Word (.doc) format. You need to have Microsoft Word installed in order to view these documents.
Data Dictionary - produces the data dictionary in Word (.doc) format or Excel (.xls) format. You need to have Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel installed in order to view these documents.
Reports Analysis - all analysis is available on the website. Most reports and analyses can also be exported into an Excel (.xls) file. You need to have Excel installed in order to be able to view these exported analysis files.
